Catching Neowise

Description
Joshua Tree National Park, California. 2020 was a year full of unexpected events. One of those events was getting to witness the comet NEOWISE fly past earth on its way back into space for another 300,000 years. I went to Joshua Tree with my friend to get some photos. It was my first time trying to take photos of something in space with a telephoto lens - none of those photos came out how I would've liked. After experimenting with the big lens I put on my go-to astro lens, found this composition, and ended up capturing this photo which won a runner up award in an astro photography competition.
