This is a photo I had in my head for a long time before I actually captured it. Every time I would drive into the national park I would see the trees in the distance with the mountains as a backdrop. For two years I would stop on my way into the park and try to get a photo that really captured my vision. Finally, one day I got to the park right as golden hour was about to start and I saw it. I had to turn my car around and drive back, park on the side of the road, and practically lay down in the ditch. It was all worth the wait.
